Requirements for Electrical Installs BS 7671:2018+A2:2022
The IET Wiring Regulations is the national standard to which all domestic and industrial wiring must conform. It will be of interest to all those concerned with the design, installation, and maintenance of electric wiring in buildings. This includes electricians, electrical contractors, consultants, local authorities, surveyors, and architects. This book will also be of interest to professional engineers, as well as students at university and further education colleges.
The 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations has been further updated and published in March 2022 and comes into effect in September 2022. Changes from the previous edition include protection against thermal effects and fire caused by electrical equipment, protection against voltage disturbances and electromagnetic disturbances, and a new chapter on prosumer's low-voltage electrical installations covering energy efficiency measures, the interface with the smart grid, the management of electricity consumption, the management of renewable sources of electricity, and energy storage.
